Ann Hurst

Ann made Lions Bay her family’s home base in 1980 and her inspiration to paint in both oil and watercolour came from her children’s activities and the extremely impressive scenery.  Years later the scenery still impresses and Ann’s darling grandkids now provide the inspriation for her vivid paintings, cards and prints with their many and varied interests.

During Expo 86, when Ann was guest artist in the BC Pavilion, Ann’s sister Susan first began working with her.  They published the first set of four art greeting cards and have since published three more sets.  Together they also opened First Street Gallery in North Vancouver where they features Ann’s oils and watercolours as well as works by other artists.

When not painting, Ann enjoys golf, gardening, the beach and discovering new and interesting walks with Susan and their dogs.

Ann now runs her Art Gallery out of her home in Lions Bay, BC and viewing of her expressive artwork can be made by appointment (1.877.921.7381)
